Dan MacDonald, Senior Pastor of Grace Toronto, was born in MontrĂ©al. An avid sports fan, he dreamed of playing professional sports until he looked in the mirror. He graduated from McGill University in ’84, and was accepted into law school at Western. It was there, in his first year, that he became a Christian. After law school, he practiced law indifferently for several years and felt the call to Christian ministry in 1990. He became a youth pastor and then a campus ministry worker for the next decade. In 2000, feeling called to the pastorate, and headed to Florida for seminary, not Disney.
After seminary, Dan worked as an associate pastor in Jacksonville, Florida, before deciding to return to his home and native land to re-plant Grace Toronto in the summer of 2005. He has been enduring Toronto’s winters, and waiting for her summers, ever since. Dan is happily married to Sue, and God has blessed them with one daughter, Shaila Grace.
TPC 2010 ran June 14-16. We were thrilled to hear from Mike Bullmore, Dan MacDonald, Robbie Symons, and Paul Martin.
