I met Tim Kerr a few years ago and he quickly became a good friend. Not only that, he encouraged me both by his words and his example to strive after being a better husband to my wife. How glad I was for that kind of friendship! 

Tim came back to Toronto after spending one year at the Sovereign Grace Ministries Pastor's College in Maryland. That year at Covenant Life Church (pastored first by C.J. Mahaney, then more recently by Joshua Harris) combined with his years on the mission field and mentoring men here in Toronto all worked together to form a great pastor, a good friend, and a fellow church-planter. 

When we were lining up speakers for TPF, he was our 'must-have' for this topic. I have met hundreds, if not thousands of pastors in my short life and am of the settled conviction that very few of them have great marriages. There are many wonderful exceptions to that statement, but even those with great marriages will be the first to tell you that they love to learn and work more on their calling to be husbands. 

So, bring your bride and join us this month at TPF. Tim will address the pastor as husband and to make it even sweeter, we will all be heading off to Tucker's Marketplace for lunch afterwards! Imagine that - taking your wife out for lunch!
